David Beckham joked that he was “putting his feet up” after watching his eldest son Brooklyn wed Nicola Peltz in Florida on Saturday.
Taking to Instagram, the former footballer, 46, said he had a “long weekend” ahead of him after the multi-million pound celebrations.
David uploaded a clip of himself resting his feet on a digital soccer ball, in which the former England player cut a dapper figure in a black suit not too dissimilar to the one he wore on Brooklyn’s big day.
He captioned the shot, “Putting my feet up for the long weekend.” He tagged digitalbitsorg – a blockchain for brands.
David’s club Inter Miami are set to take on Seattle Sounders on Sunday and the former footballer looks like he’s resting ahead of the big game.
It’s been a busy week for the Beckhams as they watched their eldest son Brooklyn, 23, wed Nicola, 27, in Florida surrounded by their celebrity friends.
David reportedly “shed a tear” as he watched his son walk down the aisle, and later got emotional during a five-minute speech about “Buster” and his new daughter-in-law.
A source tells The sun : “David’s speech lasted about five minutes and he seemed to shed a tear at one point. He spoke about when Brooklyn was born and how he wanted to protect him.
“He said he slept on the hospital floor and kept the door closed because he didn’t want to let anyone in. David got a lump in his throat and had to stop and take a breather to regain his composure, but it was a very sweet speech.”
After the speeches, the guests were entertained by a jazz quartet and a 12-piece live band with music, dancing and drinks well into Sunday morning.

Alongside the picture, he wrote: “My beautiful boys and a very proud dad. Congratulations Bust on a life of happiness we will always be by your side @brooklynbeckham @romeobeckham @cruzbeckham we love you @victoriabeckham.”
Brooklyn and Nicola tied the knot at one of their family’s beach houses in Miami, Florida – owned by their businessman father, Nelson Peltz, who is reportedly worth £1.3billion.
The post-wedding reception was held in the grounds of the £76million Palm Beach home, where three lavish marquees were set up.
