Davina McCall has been a fitness figurehead for years, so her latest hot post comes as no surprise – but how does the presenter stay in such great shape? Spoilers – her life is a cheese-free zone
Davina McCall shared her Saturday routine, and it doesn’t involve lying and roasting.
The gorgeous TV favorite took to Instagram to show off her yoga skills on a sun-drenched deck, she captioned the snap: ” Bodyweight training with Adrien…love…trying to look really professional…don’t know why I’m bothering!”
Davina, 54, wore a white bandeau bikini and giggled as she attempted the workout on her back. The mother-of-two showed off her toned stomach and legs and looked like she knew exactly what she was doing.
Yoga friend Laura Whitmore commented: “ I love Adrian! Got me through lockdown!”
But yoga isn’t the only way Davina maintains her youthful figure.
Davina said: “Getting older is brilliant because it makes you feel happier in your own skin. By the time you reach a certain age, chances are you’ve had a job for a long time and you’re really good at it.

“I’ve interviewed so many people now that I know I’m a safe couple. At that age we have all learned so much – although there is still much to learn.”
She added: “People say you shouldn’t do weight training in your 70’s – bullshit! It’s great for osteoporosis. You know, you shouldn’t let anyone tell you what to do and what not to do.”
A big sacrifice, says Davina, “that she still mourns” is cheese.
“My half-sister and I lived together for a long time and I remember our favorite meal was a ‘picky plate’ of assorted meats, cheese, French bread and tons of butter.
“Now I very rarely eat cheese, apart from a sprinkling of Parmesan on my pasta or at Christmas time – I definitely see it more as a treat now.”
To stay in shape, Davina says she takes the time to exercise 30 minutes a day, five times a week.
“Basically, I think of my body like an engine and it needs to be constantly fine-tuned to work at peak performance,” she explained.
While she’s built an empire based on her own success, Davina has also told fans that she believes her enviable age-defying figure is also due to genetics.
“We all have different body types,” she said in an interview with Hello magazine.
“My stomach doesn’t get fat very much, but my butt and thighs turn into jelly if I don’t exercise for about three days.
“Even after having a baby, I lost my belly pretty quickly. But when I was pregnant, my redeeming trait disappeared overnight and I had huge butt and thighs,” she explained.
She has also insisted that she does not follow a strict diet and occasionally binges.
