Dead Space Remake pre-orders now include the original Dead Space 2 on Steam

We’re just weeks away from the release of EA Motive’s hugely promising remake of the sci-fi horror classic Dead Space, and to sweeten the deal for those considering pre-ordering, EA is bundling a copy of the original Dead Space 2 with steam.

EA Motive’s Dead Space remake, out January 27th for PC and current-gen consoles, is a major overhaul of Visceral Games’ beloved 2008 original, which chronicled engineer Isaac Clarke’s terrifying journey through the shadowy interior of the mining ship USG isimura reimagined with improved audio and graphics quality, gameplay refinements and more.

When discovered by VG247Players who pre-order the remake on Steam now get a nifty bonus in the form of 2011’s Dead Space 2, meaning they can dive right into the ongoing story of Isaac as the credits roll. Despite its age, Dead Space 2 normally costs £17.99 on Steam, so that’s a decent save for anyone yet to experience the esteemed sequel.

“Individually, Dead Space 2’s ambience, brutal horrors, and player toolset are good, if not great,” wrote Eurogamer in its 9/10 review in 2011, “but combined, these three elements prove just as irresistible like the attraction Isaac exerted through a malfunctioning airlock.”

EA Motive’s Dead Space Remake launches on January 27th for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, and until then there’s 8 minutes of gameplay to keep you going.
