And yesterday, the 40-year-old revealed that campaigning in her fight against the disease keeps her going.

Deborah, who is in hospice care at home with bowel cancer, was given “a few days to a week” to live when she left the hospital because her active treatment had stopped a month ago.

But she told ITV’s Lorraine: “I’m here, I’m living, kicking.

“I am enjoying life every single day and continue to feel blessed to have another day knowing my time is limited.

“I lived longer again than I was told when I was sent home from the hospital, so I was a bit surprised. I’m fine. Spending time in the garden with my family.

“Physically I’m pretty tired, but mentally I’m still active. I’m still asking people to check their stools.

“I’m still learning about getting that message on the loo roll. Campaign No Butt. We want it to spread and beyond.”
