There were even walking sticks belonging to the frail Tutankhamun, who died at the age of 19.

Here’s a look at some of the weird and wonderful things that have been discovered in his tomb.

death mask

One of the most famous items found in Tutankhamun’s tomb was the distinctive death mask.

Among the weapons in King Tut’s tomb were some very valuable daggers.

One is made of an iron blade, the other is made of gold.

They were both apparently discovered wrapped in different layers of the pharaoh’s mummy bandages.

The gold doesn’t just stop at jewelry and weapons – it was also found at the feet of King Tut.

His mummy was uncovered wearing golden sandals, although experts believe these were specially made for his death and were not worn during his lifetime.

board games

Several board games were placed in his grave.

Experts don’t know the rules exactly, but have made some guesses as to how they might have been played from the pieces.

Some of the pieces were made of ivory.

It shows the pharaoh riding triumphantly on his chariot.

trumpets

Two trumpets were also found in the tomb.

One is silver and the other is gilded bronze.

Glasses, cups and everything else

It’s too much to list everything that was unearthed in the tomb, but some other notable artifacts include a flower-shaped cup, a special vessel with a lion on it, several beds, various boxes, and of course, paintings.
