Denise van Outen’s ex-fiancé, Eddie Boxshall, said he was “deeply sorry” and “embarrassed” for sending sexually explicit messages behind her back that ended their relationship.

Earlier this year, it was announced that the couple, who starred on Celebrity Gogglebox, had ended their seven-year relationship.

There is speculation that commodity trader Eddie, 49, cheated on West End performer Denise, 47 – and now he has broken his silence.

Eddie has admitted that he made a “mistake” by sending sexually explicit messages to others, and he said he was “deeply sorry” and felt “embarrassed”.

He talked about ending the relationship in an interview with Sunand admitted that he exchanged up to 20 sex messages behind Denise’s back.

He said they were sent on a single night after a few glasses of wine, and he added that he “deeply regrets[s] that [he] sent those messages “and “hurt Denise”.

However, Eddie insists that he did not betray his fiancée Denise on any other occasion and that the other pictures of women she discovered were innocent.

The Sun reports that Eddie confronted Denise about texts and photos found on his iPad. He alleges that she yelled at him abusively and accused him of cheating.

He commented: “She went on a rampage, shouting obscenities at me, that she didn’t want me in her life anymore, and that my life would be ruined without her. .”

Eddie – who has two children from a previous relationship – said he was “helped” out of the house the couple shared.

The father-of-two said he had hoped the relationship was “strong enough to withstand the mistake” made at a “very dark time” in his life – but admitted trust had been broken.

He said the messages were exchanged with another woman amid financial problems he was facing due to a court case, and Denise said later found a such screenshot.

Eddie said he tried to apologize to Denise – who claimed to have sent messages expressing regret and love – and he added that he felt “embarrassed” and “embarrassed”.

The Sun reports that Denise has also found “photographs” of other women on his phone, despite Eddie insisting they are innocent – ​​such as an unsolicited one.

The former Celebrity Gogglebox star said he had “kept quiet” for a while and alleged that he begged Denise not to speak publicly about the end of their relationship.
