dentsu international continues its accelerated path to Net Zero with Salesforce Net Zero cloud implementation

dentsu international is the first global advertising agency network to implement Salesforce Net Zero Cloud, an innovative, integrated, real-time data collection and reporting tool to create greater accountability and transparency for its 2030 Social Impact strategy. This follows dentsu’s pioneering role in becoming one of the first companies in the world to have its net zero target approved under the new Science Based Target initiative’s Net Zero Standard.

dentsu is one of the world’s leading sustainable companies committed to and working together to take ambitious action on climate change. Net Zero Cloud will allow dentsu to monitor progress in real-time against goals supporting dentsu’s Net Zero transformation, including energy, building performance, waste management, carbon emissions and ESG KPIs associated with the incentive plan for managers from dentsu are linked. Tailored reports and predictive analytics help identify opportunities to further integrate or accelerate progress, including opportunities to engage suppliers and customers.

Net Zero Cloud will be operational in 10 major dentsu markets in 2022, including the US, UK, Germany, China and India. Over time, dentsu international will integrate other advanced features, including benchmarking for its offices, suppliers, carbon credit management, and dedicated initiative reports and action plans. This initiative helps to accelerate dentsu’s pursuit of a comprehensive decarbonization target of 90% reduction in absolute CO2 emissions across the entire value chain by 2040.

The announcement builds on dentsu International’s track record of taking ambitious climate action, becoming the first company in its industry to receive RE100 accreditation for sourcing 100% renewable electricity and a 1.5 degree-focused, science-backed target for reducing CO2 emissions.

In October 2021, dentsu international was one of the first companies worldwide to have its net zero target validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.
