Depop seller slammed for trying to snag ex-trainers beaten for £50 ‘because they’re designers’

Over the years, Depop has become one of the favorite shopping apps, where users can get their hands on items that others no longer want.
However, one buyer was left stunned after spotting an advertisement for a pair of Comme des Garçons x Converse boots for £50.
With an average price of around £130 – £140 for a pair of these trendy sneakers, the relatively low price tag doesn’t come as a shock to potential buyers – such is their utterly battered condition.
The shocked person even took a screenshot of the text exchange which was then sent to Drama Depop on Instagram.
” £50 ???? You must be laughing ”, one can see that the person is writing after closer examination of the advertisement.

The uploaded photos, provided by the owner of the black Converse sneakers, show a rather rough high-heeled shoe.
It looks like a shoelace was missing, and what looked like bleach stains was on one of the trainers.
Both have lost their shape and parts of the soles have come off.
The salesman replied: ” They are composites, I will tell you.
”It doesn’t matter if they are worn by the queen, no one buys them for £50. ”
However, the conversation ended quite abruptly when the Depop seller insisted the buyer knew nothing about fashion before blocking the person.
One stunned Instagram user wrote: ”I can smell them through the screen. ”
”My worn out shoes don’t even look like that,” someone thought.
Another Depop shopper shared: ”There’s a t-shirt from the movie The Crow for £800 and it’s broken. ”
”The courage to think you can basically get paid to wear something to death” is how other people feel about the situation.
One viewer guessed: ”Looks like they closed their eyes and picked a price at random. ”
“Weared once in an hour, indoors,” joked one.
