Popular singer Dermot Kennedy described Hollywood actor Jamie Dornan as “a great maniac” and “the biggest man in the world” after the two shared a pint in New York.
The couple began a budding friendship after they spent an evening in The Dead Rabbit, owned by Belfast man Jack McGarry and located in New York’s financial district.
Speaking to The Sun, Kennedy, originally from Dublin, said: “He’s a classy man. He is the biggest man in the world. “
“He is a lunatic. We just talk about everything and anything.
“He was in New York for a TV talk show. He had to board an early flight the next day. But every time he went to the bathroom, he said to the bar, “Seven more pins, seven more pins.” “
“Turns out you can get the Guinness World Record in New York.”
The two men bonded over pints when the actor visited the Big Apple to film The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Bar owner Jack McGarry posed with Jamie and Dermot in a photo posted on social media at his bar, which regularly attracts famous faces and which he once owned with Sean Muldoon after when they met as barmen at Belfast’s Merchant Hotel.
