A man in his 30s has been taken to hospital after being shot twice in an incident in Derry.
Police said the shooting happened just after midnight on Tuesday at a property in the Kildrum Gardens area.
They said three masked men entered the home and shot the victim once in each leg while she slept in her bedroom.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Galbraith said: “He was taken to hospital for treatment of his injuries.
“Fortunately, a woman who was also at the property at the time was not physically injured but was left shaken by the incident.
“We are appealing to anyone who was in the area this morning and witnessed this incident or has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact detectives on reference number 101 dated 05/04/22.
