DeSantis claims he’s well aware of the Dairy Queen blizzards in stone cold confrontation with Trump

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis served a frozen dissident to former President Donald Trump during a stop at a Dairy Queen in Iowa on Friday.

DeSantis, who previously used beer as a vehicle to dig at his Republican rival, explained that he’s known about DQ’s popular Blizzard indulgence “for a long time” after Trump asked, “what the hell“The treat came in at one of the fast food restaurant’s branches in Iowa last week.

“When you’re here, you need to do a Dairy Queen, and I guess Sen. [Chuck] Since Grassley is stopping that, I’ve long known what Blizzards are. It’s a really important part and I love doing it,” DeSantis said in an apparent nod to the Iowa senator’s love for the fast-foot spot.

The Florida governor later ordered an Oreo Blizzard along with Iowa Secretary of Agriculture Mike Naig, saying he’s been ordering the treat since he was a kid the Des Moines Register.

He claimed that his kids love Blizzards and DQ ice cream cones too. NBC News noted.

DeSantis spent part of his DQ stop announcing his support for Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds, who recently targeted Trump on his social media platform.

“I vacated the governorship for Kim Reynolds and when she fell behind I SUPPORT her, campaigned big and she won,” Trump wrote in a Truth Social post Monday.

“Now she wants to stay ‘NEUTRAL’. I don’t invite them to events! DeSanctus lost 45 points!”

The Florida governor noted Friday that Republicans should be “really thankful” for Reynolds.

“She did a fantastic job. She had just won a major victory when she … signed the Heartbeat Act into law today,” DeSantis said, referring to Reynolds, who recently signed legislation in Iowa banning most abortions at six weeks.

Trump continues to lead DeSantis by an average of over 28% as of Friday in nationwide polls. according to FiveThirtyEight.
