Destiny 2 strand abilities essentially make you Spider-Man, Wolverine, or Dr. strange

Warlocks really embrace their nickname of Space Wizards, as their abilities revolve around the creation of little thread minions called Threadlings. When they spawn, the Threadlings will search and destroy any enemies in their path for you. Warlocks were once believed to only be able to spawn a few at a time, but it was shown in the trailer that they can spawn up to 10 or more at a time depending on how many kills they get. Anyway, the Broodweaver class looks like a lot of fun for warlocks who love their little space friends.

Titans are once again charging through the frontlines with their new Darkness subclass, Berserkers. Berserkers literally become glorified gluttons. When you use your Bladefury super ability, two claws of Strand will appear on your hands, which you can use to hack and slash your enemies until nothing is left. Unfortunately, not much more was revealed about her other abilities in the trailer, but that makes us more excited to see what Bungie has in store for Berserkers.

Last but not least, Hunter’s new Strand subclass, Threadrunner, combines aspects of Spiderman and Indiana Jones into one. Threadrunners gain two Grapple charges instead of one, allowing them to continuously swing like Spiderman, and when the time comes to fight some baddies you can create a lasso to easily capture them. At first glance, it looks like Threadrunners will be a regular part of Lightfall’s upcoming PvP meta. How it behaves in PvE requires some additional testing.

Anyhow, with each passing week and day, Strand is looking more powerful than we could have hoped, and we look forward to trying it out when Lightfall releases on February 28, 2023.
