Destiny 2’s latest Lightfall trailer confirms the existence of beach weapons

You are real!

Destiny 2’s upcoming Lightfall DLC continues to generate more hype than it needs to, as a new trailer has been released showing off upcoming weapons and gear that we can acquire.

In this trailer we see a plethora of new gameplay including new Strange weapons and new exotic armor and weapons. We also get more shots of the Shadow Legion, the main enemy that we will fight throughout the DLC.

First and foremost, beach guns are confirmed. We first see the gameplay of a new exotic sidearm called Final Warning, which appears to be firing strand rounds that pursue enemies. Based on the Beyond Light DLC that introduced Stasis, it’s safe to assume we won’t see too many beach guns, but one can only hope. That said, it’s still exciting to see beach guns finally being confirmed.

Soon after, we’ll get our first look at some new exotic weapons that we can acquire. First up is a brand new Exotic LMG called Deterministic Chaos, which weakens enemies on turn 8 and then flees them on turn 16. Even at first glance, this weapon will be a monster for Void 3.0 builds.

Finally, a new Exotic Glaive joins the fight called Winterbite, the very first Stasis Glaive. It seems that the perk can freeze enemies on impact shot mechanics. It will need more gameplay to really judge how good it will be.

Finally, we end the trailer with more looks at the enemies of the Shadow Legion cabal, including a Shadow Legion tank. Whether or not the Shadow Legion will remain after the events of Lightfall remains to be seen, but they are menacing to say the least. Hopefully we’ll see more gameplay from them soon as we get closer to the Lightfall DLC.
