CHILDREN’s phone favorites Dick and Dom are having a hard time joining TikTok because their names are deemed too rude.
Comedy duo tried to set up an account, but the administrators told them that the name Dick violated the video sharing app’s guidelines.
Dick and Dom – also known as Richard McCourt, 45, and Dominic Wood, 44 – have a huge following on social media with 67,000 fans on Twitter, 38,000 on Instagram and 36,000 on Facebook.
Bag best known for playing Bogies on the television show Dick and Dom In Da Bungalow, where they go to quiet public places and scream “liars” at increasing volume.
Surname said: “How the hell do we have to join TikTok? We cannot register and no one can search for us”.
Searching for the duo’s name returns a page that says: “This term may be associated with behavior or content that violates our guidelines.
“Promoting a safe and positive experience is a top priority for TikTok.”
Fan Jonathan Walsh joked: “Be classy, Richard and Dominic.”
Jack Dale suggests: “Dock n Dim.”
Last January, they lost all of their Twitter followers.
They changed the date of birth on their homepage to 1996 to mark 25 years of working together.
But since the account was founded in 2009, Twitter’s bosses thought it put them under 13 when it was created and started them up.
