An incredibly impressive mod for failure 4 called Fallout London, which was first revealed last year, showed around 20 minutes of gameplay.
All mods are the same, but some mods are more equal than others. That’s the case with this particular mod Fallout London, which essentially looks like its own game. A new gameplay trailer shows what appears to be the first 20 minutes or so of gameplay for the “DLC big mod”, with a fairly classy opening. There’s a slide show explaining what happens when the bombs fall in London because, as we know, war never changes.
Then, of course, it starts you in some kind of mysterious laboratory where you are examined by two scientists. There are even some original voiceovers! The wildest part, however, is that these two scientists are voiced by none other than Sylvester McCoy and Colin Baker, Doctor Who’s Seventh and Sixth Doctors. Quite a lot of talent to open the game and certainly impressive for a fan project.
Of course, what’s a gameplay trailer without some gameplay. After being left alone, you literally punch your way out of your glass prison and hit the road. And after beating some rats you finally find the British version of the Pip Boy, the Atta Boy, complete with an original design.
Eventually you find your way out of the lab and make your way to a London Underground that manages to play the exact sound that a London Underground makes, which is honestly just awesome. The trailer ends with you boarding a train, presumably to another part of town.
There is no date for the expected launch of the mod, but hopefully soon, there Bethesdas next big title starfield saw a delay recently.
