Olivia Rodrigo has given fans their first look at the documentary on the making of her number one debut album.
The 19-year-old American pop sensation shot to international fame following the release of the worldwide hit Driver’s License last January, and her follow-up album Sour hit number one in charts in the UK and US.
The upcoming film, titled Driving home 2 u (SOUR movie), will be released on Disney+ on March 25.
In one trailer, the singer is seen in the recording studio, driving across the US and filming music videos for her hit singles.
During the dub, she said, “I just want to tell people what’s going on in my head in a proud and unashamed way.”
She also tackles the pain that has inspired her pop-rock songs like Good 4 U and Traitor.
The singer, who stars in Disney+’s High School Musical: The Musical – The Series, first hit the headlines when Driver’s License went viral on social media platform TikTok.
The song sparked claims that it was inspired by a potential love triangle between her Disney co-stars.
Rodrigo went on to have a breakout year, with subsequent singles Deja Vu and Good 4 U also enjoying international success.
Her debut album Sour earned Grammy Award nominations and topped the charts in the UK and US, and won Album of the Year at the Apple Music Awards and the People’s Choice Awards.
