Disneyland Paris reveals big changes for 30th birthday

DISNEYLAND Paris is celebrating its 30th birthday and big changes are coming to the theme park – including a huge new makeover for Minnie.
Visitors will be able to enjoy the new attractions, shows and food, as well as see all of their favorite characters in new, special costumes to mark the event.
On March 6, the theme park will kick off its 30th birthday celebrations in style with a new daytime show, which will take place several times a day before Newly refurbished Sleeping Beauty Castle.
The show will feature more than 30 Disney characters and dancers on colorful floats, and a soundtrack with a new song written for the birthday.
The Disney Illumination nighttime show will also feature a new opening issue of Disney D-Light, featuring slides, water jets, and family favorites.
It will feature more than 200 drones directly above the castle and is the first time a Disney park has used drone technology in this way.
Micky, Minnie, Donald and all their friends will be dressed up in sparkling new outfits created especially for this important event.
But that’s not the only outfit Minnie will be showing off this year – and she’s got a new look in store.
British fashion designer Stella McCartney teamed up with Disney to create Minnie’s first ‘underwear’ – her first time wearing trousers.
Minnie’s signature polka dot pattern will feature on the blue ensemble, which will be worn in honor of Women’s History Month this March.
Disneyland Park will be home to a new ‘Gardens of Wonder’ collection, which includes 10 different themed gardens featuring Disney and Pixar characters.
There will be more than 30 hidden art sculptures in the park – but they won’t be easy to spot, so visitors can try and find them all.
Disneyland will also be redecorated to a shimmering theme like the new costumes that the famous characters will wear.
And it’s not just the characters that can be decked out in new suits, as the 30th anniversary merchandise collection, including ear bands, sweatshirts, bags and toys will be available in Disney stores and online.
Foodies can also enjoy a range of new dishes and drinks on the menu, including vegetarian options, birthday-themed desserts and new cocktails.
