Doctor Who favorite David Tennant and Catherine Tate reunite in special

The Doctor and Donna Noble parted ways when the Doctor had to erase Donna’s memory to save her life in an episode called Journey’s End in 2008.

David Tennant and Catherine Tate, one of the most beloved couples in Doctor Who history, have reunited and are filming scenes for the hit TV show.
The plot, which is currently being kept secret by the BBC, is slated to air in 2023 to coincide with the series’ 60th anniversary.
The Doctor (played by Tennant) and Donna Noble (Tate) parted ways when the Doctor had to erase Donna’s memory, making her forget him, in order to save her life in an episode called Journey’s End in 2008.
According to the plot, he leaves her family with a warning: if Donna remembers, she will die.
But with the two going face-to-face again, the big question among fans will be what brings the Doctor and Donna back together?

Showrunner Russell T Davies said: “They’re back! And that seems impossible – first we announce a new Doctor, and then an old Doctor, along with the wonderful Donna, what the hell is going on? Maybe this is a flawed story. Or a parallel world. Or a dream, or a trick, or a flashback.
“The only thing I can confirm is that it will be spectacular, when two of our greatest stars reunite in the battle of life.”
Tennant last appeared on the show in a 2013 50th anniversary episode called The Day Of The Doctor, while Tate guest-starred until 2010. Their return together will be satisfying. millions of sci-fi fans.

Last week, it was announced that actor Ncuti Gatwa would replace Jodie Whittaker as the star of Doctor Who with Davies returning as host, having left in 2009.
Gatwa became the 14th Time Lord on the popular sci-fi show and the first person of color to star in a lead role. It’s unclear how well Tennant and his return will fit at this stage.
Scottish actor Gatwa, who was born in Rwanda, is known for starring on the Netflix sitcom Sex Education.
“It feels really great,” he said. It is a real honor. This role is an organization and it is very symbolic. ”
