Doctor Who the stars of the 80s will return in the final episode of Jodie Whittaker

The Centennial Special, which will air later this year, will also be Jodie Whittaker’s last outing as the Lord of Time, a role she has played since 2017.

Master, Daleks and Cybermen will all appear together in an upcoming Doctor Who special to mark the BBC’s centenary anniversary.
A first look at the celebration special has also revealed that two Doctor companions from the show’s earlier eras will reprise their roles for the first time since leaving the show.
The Centennial Special, which will air later this year, will also be Jodie Whittaker’s last outing as the Lord of Time, a role she has played since 2017.
Showrunner Chris Chibnall said: “Jodie’s Last Long Story contains a lot of fun and surprises for audiences and fans alike, especially the return of two of our beloved companions. in the history of the show.

“They will help the Doctor fight on three fronts, against her deadliest enemies: the Master, the Daleks and the Cybermen, in one grand story.
“For the BBC’s centenary, we will celebrate Doctor Who’s past, present and future, in a thrilling, epic and emotional farewell to the Thirteenth Doctor.”
This special will be the first time that the Doctor’s three classic enemies have all featured in a single storyline since the show’s return to BBC One in 2005.

The Master, played by Sacha Dhawan, last appeared in the final episode of series 12 The Timeless Children.
Actress Janet Fielding will also return as Tegan Jovanka, the companion of both the Fourth and Fifth Doctor, while Sophie Aldred will reprise the role of Ace, the companion of the Seventh Doctor.
“It was a very different experience in some ways than when I finished recording in 1983, but in many ways it was very similar,” says Fielding.

Aldred added: “It is quite a challenge to have such a big secret to keep, even from my own family, and I couldn’t be more delighted and delighted to be asked back.
“I hope people will enjoy it as much as I have loved being part of the Tardis team again.”

Whittaker announced in July that she would be leaving the BBC science fiction series after a special trilogy.
Showrunner Chibnall will also be leaving the show to be replaced by Russell T Davies, the man behind the show’s 2005 revival.
