Dog who lived outside and “spent two years looking out the window” needs a new home

Exclusive:

Spaniel Buster was accepted into South East Dog Rescue after founder Kymm White discovered he had been living outside for two years and “spent his days looking in the house through the window”.

With those gorgeous hazel eyes, it’s hard to believe Buster could ever fall victim to neglect – but sadly, he’s suffered over the past two years.

Buster spent his days alone outside, longing for a warm bed and a sheltered roof over his head.

And now he’s desperately looking for a new place to call home, with a family who will love and adore him in his final years.

Kymm White, Founder of Dog Rescue in the Southeast (SEDR), has been asked to assist in the placement of Senior Spaniel Buster due to the poor health of his former owner.

Kymm told ‘The Mirror’: “Buster was a well loved member of the family but the lady who was taking care of him was too weak to take him for a walk.

“She said he was kept outside for two years and he felt sorry for him as he spent his days looking in the house through the window.

“When I heard that, I couldn’t help it.”

The lady’s son took Buster for walks when he could, although the older spaniel has mobility issues.

When 11-year-old Buster entered the SEDR center his hair was matted and he needed tender loving care.

“The most important thing is that he’s here and he’s getting the help he deserves,” Kymm said.

So far, Buster seems to be quite an anxious boy who is wary when it comes to making new friends but slowly learns to trust the staff.

He loves to play ball, but the team is wary of too much exercise until they figure out what’s wrong with his back legs or spine.

Once Buster has been seen by a paramedic and received any X-rays and treatment he may need, SEDR will begin searching for his forever family.

“He’s going to need a quiet retirement home where he can once again enjoy his walks and comforts of home,” Kymm said.

If you could give Buster a warm home with a comfortable bed, please Contact SEDR and fill out the online form.

Another dog desperate for a second chance at life is little Tom, who was rescued from a Turkish shelter.

Dog charity Cavaliers in need is desperate for donations to transport Tom from Turkey to Northern Ireland.

Little Tom was found with no hair or body fat, and it’s incredibly hard to believe he’s actually an easygoing King Charles Spaniel.

Charity workers hope that in a few months Tom will be strong enough to make the journey to safe foster care and start living like a normal spaniel again.
