“I was a bit scared at first – I didn’t know if I was going to be a festival documentary because I don’t usually play big shows like that because I talk a lot and I write a lot of songs in a story style and I think, ‘No, I don’t know about this’.

Parton said she now wants to “win” her spot on the list, adding: “I have a lot of new rock stuff I’m writing. So for the past few months, for a period of time, I’ve been doing it since they said I was going to be in on the whole thing.
“I thought, I’ll have to earn it. So it looks like this is the time to do it. So I’ve been doing it.
“I’m working on that album and it’s coming out next fall, hopefully by next year’s Christmas season.
“And so I’m going to do a lot of classical songs that are rock songs and then some songs that I’ve written.”
