Trump says US should ‘sit back and watch’ after attacks

Donald Trump has told Republican donors that the US should plant the Chinese flag on their warplanes and then “bomb the *** out of Russia.”

The former president said one way to end Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine is to distract the country with a conflict with Beijing.

He said the US should put “Chinese flags on them (F22 fighters) and bomb out of Russian territory.”

“And then we said, China did it, we didn’t do it, China did it, and then they started fighting each other, and we sat back and watched.” he said.

According to an audio recording of his speech, his proposal was met with laughter from a crowd of wealthy Republican donors.

Trump called Putin’s unprovoked attack on Ukraine a “great crime against humanity” before attacking the western NATO alliance describing it as a “paper tiger”.

The paper tiger is used to describe something that looks menacing but is in fact significantly weaker.

During his time in the White House, Trump repeatedly criticized NATO, at times threatening to withdraw the US from this organization.

Trump once again boasted that the invasion of Ukraine would not have happened had he remained in office.

The businessman insists he is tougher on Putin than any other president and reiterated baseless claims that he won the 2020 election.

“I know Putin very well. He wouldn’t do it. He would never do it,” he said.

Trump did not mention how he organized military aid to Ukraine when pushing the country to investigate Hunter, son of Joe Biden.

Addressing donors while in New Orleans for the weekend, Trump also praised Kim Jong Un.

He said the North Korean autocracy was “severely severe”.

He said how Mr. Kim’s generals and aides had “shrinked” when the dictator spoke to them.

“Total control,” Trump said of how the North Korean dictator runs the country, describing generals who attract attention and stand to command.

“His people are paying attention,” he added.

“I looked at my people and said that I wanted my people to act like that,” he said with a laugh.
