Doom games in order: By release date and schedule

DOOM is a video game first released in 1993 in which players act as space marines under the Union Aerospace Corporation (UAC) whose goal is to slay demons and zombies and save the earth from an apocalypse.

These are the games in order.

The very first version of this game was released on December 10, 1993.

It presented a world of science and horror in which the first-person shooter, an unnamed Space Marine, must slay zombies and demons on Mars and save Earth from ever entering an apocalypse.

The game can also be played in multiplayer mode – in cooperative mode – in which two to four players team up to defend the earth together.

On the other hand, players can also compete against each other in Deathmatch mode.

Doom II: Hell on Earth

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch

The sequel to the first issue was published on September 30, 1994.

In this case, the earth is now under attack and the leaders of the largest cities in the world plan to use spaceships to evacuate all survivors.

The Starport is the only access point to the spaceships, but it was invaded by demons that killed all the human soldiers.

It is now up to the Space Marines to rescue the civilians and get them to safety on the spaceship and off Earth.

doom 3

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch

Doom 3 was released on August 3, 2004.

The game was announced in 2000, six years after Doom 2’s release, and lead programmer John Carmack said the game will be developed using next-gen technology.

The game introduced four difficulty levels: Recruit, Marine, Veteran, and Nightmare.

The main difference in difficulty is how much damage can be dealt to the player.

Doom 3: Evil Resurrection

Platforms: PC, Xbox

This game was released on April 3, 2005.

Only one survivor emerged alive from an attack by infernal forces that destroyed the UAC Mars Research Base and killed all of the work staff.

The attack happened after an experiment with teleportation technology went wrong.

Doom 3: BFG Edition

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch

This is a remastered version of Doom 3 that was released on October 16, 2012.

The teleportation experiments continue in this one and now there is only one survivor left from the team found in Evil Rising.

The Marine’s mission now is to destroy an experimental teleportation device stolen by the demons and being held in Hell.

If not, they could use it to send an entire army of demons to Earth.

The game reboot came out on May 13, 2016 and was known as Doom 4 during its development.

It is now 2148 and the Doom Slayer – an ancient warrior – was awakened after UAX scientist Dr. Olivia Pierce had allowed the forces of hell to invade.

Doomguy must now try to save Mars using his agility, high jumps, weapons and dexterity.

The sequel to 2016’s Doom was released on March 20, 2020.

It has a similar single player mode with different weapons, while the multiplayer mode is called Battlemode in which players compete against each other in a 2v1.

The player alone is the Slayer while his opponents are demons.

Doom Eternal: The Old Gods – Part One

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch

This is the first part continuing from the original Doom Eternal and was released on October 20th, 2020.

Khan Maykr and Urdak have now died and this resulted in Demons having the power to rule more dimensions and begin invading Earth again.

To prevent this, the Slayer, along with Samuel Hayden and some AUC scientists, launch a search for Seraphim.

Doom Eternal: The Old Gods – Part Two

Platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch

Part two was finally released on March 18, 2021.

In this game, the Dark Lord is summoned and the Doom Slayer tries to kill him.

But no blood can be spilled in the Luminarium, and so they will have a final confrontation in the capital of Hell, Immora.
