Canadian rap star Drake has obtained a restraining order against an obsessive fan who sent him threatening messages.

The 35-year-old music star, whose real name is Aubrey Drake Graham, has appealed to US courts to issue a restraining order against a woman he alleges showed up at his home and wished for his death.

The star is said to be concerned not only for his own safety but also that of his four-year-old son Adonis – and the singer says the onslaught of abuse from the woman has taken a toll on his mental health.

Drake’s attorney, Larry Stein, has approached courts seeking a restraining order against the woman.

PageSix Reports: “The rapper accused a 29-year-old woman of sending him threatening emails ‘wishing him dead’ and telling him to ‘shoot.’ [himself] and [his] son with a bullet’.”

The report adds that the woman also emailed the musician, telling him to: “Put a bullet through your head now, b***h.”

The outlet claims it saw court documents that include a statement from Drake himself, which said: “Consequently [her] Harassment and obsession with me, I have suffered and continue to suffer from emotional distress and am concerned for my safety and that of my family.”

TMZ also reported on it the request for a restraining order, which reads: “Drake alleges the woman was arrested at his Hidden Hills estate in April 2017 and convicted of trespassing, but that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

“Drake says the woman threatened his life and the lives of his family members.”

They add: “The woman tried to track her down [Drake] by filing a $4 billion defamation lawsuit against him and seeking a restraining order of his own…and he says he’s suffering from emotional distress and fears for his safety and that of his family.”

It’s reported that the singer – whose hits include “Take Care” and “Hold On, We’re Going Home” – wants the protective order to force the woman to stay 100 meters from him and his family.

Meanwhile, Drake is said to have pledged $50million (£38million) to buy Robbie Williams’ Beverly Hills mansion, according to recent reports.

However, the massive asking price is said to have been a steal – as Rob put the palatial property on the market at a price of $80million (£60million) before being forced to drop the price when he couldn’t find a buyer .

The Angels singer shouldn’t be too dejected, however, as he still made a notable profit after originally buying the property from Guess co-founder Armand Marciano in 2015 for $32.67 million, property documents reveal.
