Driver tests positive for cocaine after Seaford police stop

A person stopped for driving with a revoked license has been arrested after testing positive for cocaine.

Sussex Police stopped the person on the A259 near Beacon Road in Seaford around 6pm last night.

The BMW X1 was confiscated and the driver arrested.

It comes after members of Sussex Police and Project Edward, including Police and Crime Inspector Katy Bourne, attended a road safety event in Brighton yesterday.

Every Day Without a Road Death is part of a national effort aimed at promoting safer vehicles, roads and motoring.

The project helps raise awareness of the Fatal Five, limit car use, and make streets and neighborhoods safer.
