Driver unharmed in serious accident on country road in Hassocks

In a serious accident on a dirt road, NOBODY was injured.

Ambulance services were called to the scene of the accident in Hassocks in the early hours of July 15.

Sussex Roads Police said officers had received a report of a car accident in which the vehicle was set on fire.

The fire was extinguished after an immediate response from the Burgess Hill Fire and Rescue Service.

“Fortunately the only occupant was not injured,” said a Sussex Roads Police spokesman. “Negative Driver Impairment Test.”

Photos from the crime scene show a badly damaged car on the side of the road.

A number of emergency vehicles and emergency services can also be seen.

The exact circumstances of the crash are not yet known.
