However, the so-called drain holes are the real deal.

When it rains or when you wash your car, water can get past the window seals and into the doors, and the water should exit through the drainage holes on the bottom.

But those holes on the underside of your doors can become clogged with dirt or gravel and debris from the road over time.

Most drain holes are on the underside of doors, although they can be found in other places as well.

According to automotive site Cars.com, many vehicles will have drain pans in the rocker panels and rear quarter panels, both of which are near the doors.

Vehicles may also have drain holes located under the windshield and near the trunk to prevent water from pooling in those areas.

To see if you might have a clog, run a hose over certain parts of your car.

When you spray the windshield, trunk, and doors, check that the water is draining properly.

If it’s slowly accumulating or draining, you probably have a blockage.

The high-pressure sprays from a car wash or even a regular garden hose can be enough to blast the dirt out of the drain holes.

However, if you have a problem, you can always ask for the drain holes to be cleaned when you bring your car in for service.
