DRIVERS in London are the UK’s most likely to get road rage and honk their horns, a report has found.
Fifty-eight percent of hot-tempered Londoners admit to being upset by other drivers’ mistakes.
And 56 percent would honk if they thought a driver ahead was slowing down.
The second strongest region was Northern Ireland, where 45 per cent are angry about mistakes, followed by the West Midlands at 44 per cent and the South East at 42 per cent.
Scots were the calmest, with just 32 per cent admitting to getting angry.
Just one in ten Welsh motorists would beep, with the East Midlands just behind at 14 per cent.
Road safety charity IAM RoadSmart produced the report.
Director Neil Greig said, “Far too many are putting their own safety and that of others at risk by succumbing to road rage.”
“Londoners in particular struggle to keep a cool head on the busy streets of our capital.
“While anger can be a perfectly natural reaction to reckless or dangerous behavior by another road user, it is everyone’s responsibility to keep their composure in such cases so that the situation doesn’t get worse.
“For the benefit of yourself and others, take a moment of mindfulness, stay calm and motor on.”
