Others said drivers should try pulling aside the small gaps at the Belle Vue Short Stay car park in Saltash, Cornwall.
CornwallLive reports locals raving about pint-sized spaces on the town’s local Facebook group.
It also said Cornwall Council did not respond when asked about youth bays.
One person wrote: “Bet you will be fined for parking over the line.”
Another added: “Does this mean you only pay half the parking fee?”
But others point out that the smaller space could be used for smart motorbikes and cars.
The British Parking Association says street bays should be 2.4m x 4.8m long.
However, the association adds the dimensions “can be modified to fit your specific needs, but keep in mind that good entrances and wider bays make for efficient use of the parking area.” .
