Learner drivers can be seen driving on a two-way street with TheYoungInstructor, who is not a judge for this test, narrating what the learner is assigned to do.

“On this dual path, students are required to follow signs that lead to the hospital,” he said.

“And as you can see at the top of the screen, he needs to be in the left lane.

“He changed lanes well and noticed that there were some vehicles in traffic.”

All seemed to be going well for the learner, but what happened next proved that things were going horribly wrong.

He said: “In this situation all he needed to do was slow down a bit but he decided to try changing lanes and the judge had to jerk the steering wheel to keep him on the left.”

The examiner had to intervene because the student driver forgot to do something very important.

He said: “The judges had to do this because the students didn’t check their mirrors before changing lanes and as you can see, this truck was in the process of overtaking.

He points out that the truck in the video is outpacing the learner in the right lane.

TheYoungInstructor went on to say: “If the examiner hadn’t been there in this situation, the truck would most likely have veered straight into their rear, causing a very serious crash.”

Some commenters on the post didn’t believe the learner should have tried to change lanes.

One person said: The car speed should not be adjusted on the skid, and it is a fork and he should give way. “

A common reason why learners fail their driving test is lack of observationespecially at the junction.

This could mean that the learner is approaching the intersection too quickly or is not paying enough attention to other drivers on the road.
