Drunk driving arrest for Littlehampton man who ‘abandoned’ his car
A man who “abandoned” an overturned car has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
Police received a report of an overturned car on Lashmar Road, East Preston, around 9.30pm yesterday.
The driver is said to have left the BMW and walked away from the scene of the accident.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Officers have searched the area and found a man matching his description nearby.”
A 31-year-old man from Littlehampton has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving. He is currently in police custody.
The vehicle was later recovered.
