Other passengers fled the bus in despair as it embarked on a six-mile excursion Monday night.

He crashed into a number of cars and then into an Audi A3 with the 17-year-old driver inside.

The vehicle, which was stolen from a Tesco bus station on Monday night, was later found abandoned at a train station six miles away.

A 43-year-old man was later arrested in connection with the drunken escapade.

Car owner Travis O’Dell, 17, said his Audi A3 was written off after drunk Joyrider crashed into it.

The commercial trainee said he was lucky to survive the crash.

He said: “If it had hit my driver’s door, I might not be here anymore.

“The whole car was shaking, it was a horrible experience being thrown around.”

Travis was standing still while waiting to turn onto a roundabout on his way to visit friends when the bus zoomed towards him from the right.

The bus then appeared out of nowhere and raced toward him.

It slammed into the front of Travis’s silver Audi at an estimated speed of 40 miles per hour, totaling the vehicle.

The bus then made a dangerous turn off the Walton Park roundabout in Milton Keynes and onto a grass verge.

Travis recalled the bus “barely regaining control” when it swerved back onto the dual carriageway and continued its dangerous escapade without stopping to check on it.

He said: “No one wants to look to the right and see a full bus coming towards you at high speed, you are helpless.”

Luckily he got away with a bit of back pain but has lost the car he bought for £2,300 two weeks ago.

He had started saving for it eight months ago before passing his driving test in October

The 43-year-old suspect was arrested the same evening on suspicion of aggravated vehicle takeover, drunk driving and dangerous driving and taken into custody.

He has since been released on bail until April 16.

The Thames Valley Police Roads police team posted on social media later that evening: “When people say ‘if you’ve had a drink, take the bus’, they don’t mean it literally.”

“This bus in Milton Keynes was stolen by a drunk passenger earlier that evening, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake as it collided with numerous other vehicles before being pulled over.”

“Fortunately no one was injured in this incident and the other passengers were able to escape from the bus when it was stolen.

“The bus driver was also unharmed in the theft.”
