Drusilla’s Zoo reveals the naughtiest and cutest animals for Christmas

A zoo compiled a list of its cheekiest and nicest animals for Christmas Day this year.

Drusillas Zoo near Alfriston said staff have been debating which animals have made it onto Santa Paws’ nice list this year and who might not get special treats.

Zoo keepers say most of the animals are usually in their good books, but some of the animals “just can’t be missed.”

The cheeky list…

Flora, the Anglo-Nubian goat, tops Drusillas’ list for her “evil ways.”

A spokeswoman for the zoo said: “Don’t be fooled by Flora’s goofy expression and her love of visitor affection – she’s quite mean when it comes to the zookeeping team.

“Although zookeepers have tried many different methods of collaring her on each day when the zoo closes to take her back to the fields, Flora has developed a hobby of butting her head on anything and everything in sight every time , whether it’s walls or goals or goalie knees.”

Maya the Red Panda is on the list “despite best efforts”.

“Maja, a favorite among visitors, can mostly be seen snuggled up in the trees looking adorable, but when it comes to cleaning times he’s far from calm and sweet.

“Wardens have reported that Maya just won’t leave them alone when they try to do their chores, getting his big furry nose in everything and climbing over them.

“He makes the job take twice as long.

“We’d like to think he means well and maybe thinks he’s helping, but right now it’s the naughty list to add to the workload.”

Also on the list are Lintang, the Sulawesi Crested Black Macaque, Plum the Squirrel, Satsuma the Capybara.

The beautiful list…

Raya the giant anteater is described as a “true gentle giant” and “absolute cutie”.

Also on the list are Cheddar the Asian short-clawed otter, described as “the cutest father of his boisterous clan,” Jasper the North American beaver, Bowier the red-handed tamarin, and Gretal the hairy armadillo.
