Dwayne Johnson: ‘DC Antihero speaks more to my DNA than any other acting role’

Dwayne Johnson says none of his previous acting roles “speaks more to my DNA” than DC anti-hero Black Adam.

The actor shared a picture of himself on the set of the new superhero movie as production wraps up, promising fans that “the hierarchy of power is going to change in the DC Universe.”

Johnson plays Teth Adam, the protagonist of the film, which is thought to be both a spin-off and prequel to 2019’s Shazam! Movie with Zachary Levi.

“The intense week of production continues as we put the finishing touches on BLACK ADAM,” Johnson wrote on Instagram.

“Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of playing some great (funny) characters over the years, but none speaks to my DNA more than this anti-hero known as the Man in Black, Teth Adam.

“The hierarchy of power in the DC Universe will change.”
