Dwayne Johnson often presents himself as a devoted father on social media and now he has also posted a rare video with his mother as the pair share a sweet moment.

The 49-year-old actor posted a video of him and his mother Ata singing a sweet song at his grandparents’ gravestone in Honolulu Hawaii.

The star, also known as The Rock, was seen sitting on the grass in the sunshine with his mother while she played a tune on the ukulele.

Before the couple shared a song, his mother kindly dedicated it to those watching who lost a loved one. She emotionally ended the tune by saying, “The memories are forever mom and dad. Love and miss dad.”

The Hollywood actor then went on to explain the stone carvings of his grandparents. He explained: “My mother engraved ‘the ukulele has ended but the tune is still there. Life isn’t forever, that’s love’.”

The couple posted the sweet clip by expressing their love to Dwayne’s 300 million Instagram followers.

He explained in the caption how the couple enjoyed a “very special day” before saying what a “grateful son he is”.

He wrote: “I got to spend such an amazing mother and son day this weekend with my mom @atajohnson at her mom and dad’s grave in Hawaii.

“Life goes by so fast and you realize how important it is to just slow down, sit here, reminisce and hear her sing, play the ukulele and tell all her stories.”

He continued: “I use the word ‘mana’ a lot to describe psychic energy and power – and mana is powerful these days. Powerful, but calm.

“Sometimes a bit sad, but gratitude and joy abound.

“I know you know this feeling I’m talking about when it comes to your loved ones who have passed away.”

The Rock ended the post by saying: “Hope you all out there had a great weekend with your family and loved ones.”

His words have been greatly appreciated by his countless followers as many have taken to the comments section to share their own thoughts.

With more than 1.4 million likes on the post, American alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn was among those to leave a comment, simply posting two love heart emojis.

Another fan wrote: “Good vibes,” while a third said: “So cute.”

While fans loved his latest posts, many were disappointed earlier in the year when he admitted he would never return to the Fast & Furious franchise despite Vin Diesel. asked him to come back.

Tensions have been running high between the acting duo since 2016 when The Rock publicly praised its female co-star in an Instagram post, but criticized some of the male leads for the same breath.
