Dwayne Johnson thanks LA emergency services after mom was involved in car crash

Dwayne Johnson thanked members of the Los Angeles Police Department and Fire Department for helping his mother after she was involved in a car accident.

The former wrestler-turned-Hollywood actor hailed his mother as “a survivor” and said “angels of mercy” watched over her after the incident.

Posting on Instagram, Johnson revealed the accident happened late Wednesday night and shared a picture of the damaged vehicle.

“Thank God, she’s fine. Angels of Mercy were watching over my mother when she was involved in a car accident late last night,” he wrote.

“She will survive and will continue to be studied. This woman has survived lung cancer, a tough marriage, a head-on collision with a drunk driver, and attempted suicide.

“She is a survivor in a way that makes angels and miracles real.”

He thanked members of the LAPD and LAFD for being “so caring and focused” during the ordeal.

“Thanks for staying on the phone and explaining everything to me,” he said.

“I have one parent left, so if you still have your mom and dad, make sure to hug them tight because you never know when you’re going to get that 3 a.m. call that we never want to get.”

It comes just days before Johnson will take the stage as guest presenter at the 65th Annual Grammy Awards, also taking place in Los Angeles on Sunday.
