Maksim Chmerkovskiy has been reunited with his wife Peta Murgatroyd in the United States after attempting to flee war-torn Ukraine.

Dancing With The Stars professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy has safely escaped war-torn Ukraine and is reunited with his wife Peta Murgatroyd in the United States.
The star, 42, was videotaped hugging and kissing her partner, 35, after fleeing her hometown as Russia continued to invade.
The pair hugged as they arrived at the Los Angeles airport with Maksim were clearly shaken by the event he witnessed over the past week.
Maksim confessed that he was asked to get a gun while in Ukraine and asked to watch a YouTube video on how to operate the deadly weapon.
A few days earlier, while in Kyiv, Maksim had posted a self-proclaimed war video on Instagram, telling his 1.1 million followers that “war is NEVER the answer”.
He revealed he will “never be the same” and wrote: “This is stressful and I’m getting my old feelings back, like I’ve done this before.
“This is really like when and why we left in the ’90s. Like my old PTSD, I’ll eventually come back after fixing it. I really just forgot the feelings. feeling “always on the side” and really starting to worry about things like the bbq oven.
“I’m crying as I type this because all men deserve to worry about ‘bbq ovens’ not war.”
He followed the post when he arrived in Warsaw and said he was “not fine”.
He continued: “I’m tired. I’m stressed. I need to hang around.
“Thank you and take note of this so the whole world starts screaming.”
After safely returning to the US, Maksim again took to Instagram on Wednesday night to show unsettling scenes of Zhytomyr, which he calls the “100% civilian sector”, ablaze as members of the public They frantically search through the burning ruins in search of loved ones.
Maksim lived in Ukraine until the age of 14 and recently returned to Kyiv to work on a dance competition program.
He has been regularly updating his social media followers since the war broke out in order to attract more information in the public eye.
As Russian forces surrounded Kyiv, he spent time in a bomb shelter before being able to board a train to Poland.
The dancer described tragic scenes in which he witnessed a young boy needing to say goodbye to his father.
