E-bike rider (20) seriously injured after collision with truck in Dublin

A cyclist has been seriously injured in Dublin this morning when his e-bike collided with a truck.

The incident happened around 6.15am on the exit lane of the N81 between the junctions of Cheeverstown Road and Fortunestown Road in Tallaght.

The cyclist, who was in his 20s and was seriously injured, was taken by ambulance to Tallaght University Hospital.

The driver of the truck did not require hospital treatment.

Gardaí appealed to all witnesses to the collision to come forward.

They are also appealing to anyone with camera footage from the scene of the collision, including drivers with dashcams, to make it available to them.
