E3 2022 will be online only this year due to Covid concerns

With a new variant of Covid reaching global coverage, the Entertainment Software Association has once again decided to only hold this year’s E3 event online.

E3 2022, like E3 2021, will be a virtual one, although last year ESA wanted to host an in-person event in 2022.

In a statement, the ESA said it would not be hosting an in-person event in June due to “the potential impact on the safety of exhibitors and attendees.” Despite this, the association said it remains “extremely excited about the future of E3” and Hope to announce more details soon.

Meanwhile, CES is happening live as we speak in Las Vegas, and as it stands, GDC – which takes place every year in March – will be a live event.

E3 2021 is officially held from June 12 to 15, but many developers and companies organize virtual presentations leading up to and after the main event.

The Guerrilla Collective Rollout, Battlefield 2024 Reveal Event, Summer Game Festival Kick-off Live, Netflix’s Geeked Week, Koch Primetime, and IGN Expo are all held ahead of the start of E3 2021 .

The main program includes referrals from Devolver Digital, Microsoft and Bethesda, and Square Enix. Ubisoft Forward, PC Gaming Show, Future Games Show and Nintendo Treehouse Live also took place during the main show.

Other companies, such as EA, Nancon and Sony held events at the end of the summer.

We assume that we can expect a similar format for 2022. E3 2022 will be online only this year due to Covid concerns
