€3.2million worth of cocaine seized from Gardaí in Dublin drug squad when man, 30, was arrested

Gardaí seized around €3.2 million in suspected cocaine and €21,500 in cash and arrested a man as part of an investigation in Clondalkin, Co. Dublin yesterday.

The man, in his late 30s, was arrested and taken to Lucan Garda Station, where he is currently being held under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.

At around 7pm last night, Gardaí, who belong to the Ronanstown Borough’s Drugs and Detective Unit, conducted a search of a flat in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

In the course of the search, Gardaí located and seized over 40 blocks of suspected cocaine.

The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is around 3.2 million euros, an analysis is still pending.

Gardaí also seized drug paraphernalia and cash worth 21,500 euros during the search.

The investigations are ongoing.
