Earth may be surrounded by FOUR ‘hostile’ alien civilizations in the Milky Way, horror study claims

VIOLENT alien civilizations bent on wiping out humanity may be closer to home than we think.

According to one researcher, there are up to four of them in the Milky Way, which would attack our planet if they could.

Up to four

Alberto Caballero, a PhD student at the University of Vigo in Spain, appreciated the proliferation of “malicious” extraterrestrial civilizations.

He published his findings earlier this month in the preprint database arXiv, Live Science reports.

That paper has not been reviewed by other astronomers and is more of a thought experiment than a concrete discovery.

For his research, Caballero analyzed human invasions of other countries over the past 50 years.

He applied this data to the estimated number of inhabited “exoplanets” – those outside the solar system – in our galaxy.

According to a 2012 study, as many as 15,785 extraterrestrial civilizations exist among the millions of exoplanets in the Milky Way.

By combining the frequency of human conflict with the potential number of extraterrestrial civilizations, Caballero predicted how many hostile planets there are out there.

He ended up four, although he admits his back-of-the-envelope calculation has some major flaws.

“I just made the newspaper based on life as we know it,” Caballero told Vice News.

“We don’t know the minds of extraterrestrials. An extraterrestrial civilization may have a brain with a different chemical makeup and they may not have our empathy or they may have more psychopathological behaviors.

“I found this way [the study]which has limitations because we don’t know what aliens would look like.”

Scientists have never found conclusive evidence of extraterrestrials, but many experts believe life exists somewhere outside the solar system.

This most likely comes in the form of alien microbes resembling the first life that arose on Earth billions of years ago.

A number of missions are underway to search the Milky Way’s millions of exoplanets for signs of microscopic life.

The newly launched James Webb Space Telescope, for example, has infrared technology that makes it possible to distinguish between different molecules in the atmosphere of distant worlds.

Over the next ten years, NASA will send spacecraft to Jupiter’s moon Europa and Saturn’s moon Titan to look for signs of life there.
