Eastbourne: Bolton Road has been cordoned off by East Sussex Fire Services
Two firefighters were at the scene of the incident on Bolton Road in Eastbourne and used vehicles to block a section of road.
A cordon was erected around roadside construction sites. There appears to be a gas canister in the center of the cordon.

Firefighters were called to reports of smoke in the basement of a commercial building, where they put out a smoking electrical fuse panel.
A spokeswoman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Services said: “We were called at 9.44am to reports of smoke in the basement of a commercial building.
“Firefighters wore respirators to use a CO2 extinguisher on a smoking electrical fuse panel.
“There are no reports of injuries.”
