Aidan’s film role comes after it was announced that he would be joining the upcoming EastEnders male rape storyline.
The attack comes after Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) has a fiery clash with her husband Callum (Tony Clay) and heads to Queen Vic to drown out his sadness.
While there, he spotted Lewis on a dating app and, against his better judgment, decided to text him before meeting him for a drink at Prince Albert.
Last week, fans were shocked to see Ben sharing a kiss with Lewis before the assault.
The EastEndersMax actor has previously revealed about the difficult plot.
“Along with some great charities and some very inspiring UK male sexual assault survivors, I think we’ve been able to really put the word out. explain as honestly as possible and I hope we can raise awareness and understanding on a topic that is rarely covered up,” he said.
BBC continuing drama head Kate Oates added: “Ben finds Lewis attractive and thinks of him as someone who can understand him the way Callum does not; but that trust has been abused used when Lewis crossed the line and raped Ben.
“Through this story, we hope to explore issues of consent, sexual identity, masculinity, and sexual assault, focusing on how this fateful night impacted Ben. and those who love him in the coming months.”
It’s unclear how long Lewis will stay at Walford after the attack on Ben, but the Aidan actor has made it clear that he’s only on the soap for a certain amount of time.
