Ben struggled to cope after husband Callum announced he would accept a police offer in a campaign to encourage LGBTQ+ people to join the police force.
Callum, coming home from work, explains that there has been a series of late-night attacks on men for seemingly no reason – but little is known that Ben was behind the brutal attacks.
When Sharon saw Ben swinging a copper pipe as he lunged over the man, she quickly made him disappear before she called the police, with Callum and the rest of his party arriving soon.
When asked if she had seen anyone who did it, she lied and claimed she didn’t know.

“Because I’m weak,” he told her, “I’m weak when they attack Paul, I’m weak when they attack Callum. But never again. Because I won’t give any of them a chance. You saw that guy in the alley, do you think he’ll start screaming in the street with strangers at any moment?
Sharon warns him, “This is not the way Ben, you need help,” as he laughs in her face about the idea.
“I’m not going to stop Sharon, so if you want to report me, be my guest,” he told her, when she insisted she wouldn’t call the police – but only if he stopped her. “If you continue like this, you’ll be in a cell next to your father. And with your achievements, you’ll never get out.”
