Cheryl played the very iconic Heather Trott in the BBC series EastEnders from 2007 to 2012.

The couple met online in 2010 and Cheryl decided to travel to Morocco, where Yassine lived and fell in love.

They got married back in 2011, not long before Cheryl left the soap.

The actress is not afraid to defend her relationship and prove that the couple really loves each other.

Yassine is 21 years younger than Cheryl

“The world has become too cynical,” she said.

“People think it must be a scam, it must be a problem. But I said, ‘It’s not anything. Just stop it!'”

She explains how women always get a backlash: “Dating young men like Mick Jagger seems pretty cool to men, like Mick Jagger.”

Cheryl is very unaffected by people who criticize her relationship

Cheryl went on to say that people don’t seem to take “joy for a woman dating younger” even though she and her husband Yassine have been together for over a decade.

However, she doesn’t let people’s comments affect her relationship with hers, saying: ‘I just feel sorry for them that they need to be critical of our lives.’

Since leaving EastEnders, the soap actress has worked extensively in the theater, performing for live audiences. She also recently starred in comedian Catherine Tate’s new prison comedy Hard Cell, which is currently streaming on Netflix.
