EastEnders fans all shared the same complaint when Janine made a bizarre comment to Mick

EASTENDERS viewers were left scratching their heads on Friday night’s episode of BBC1 following a conversation between Mick and Janine.
Desperate to get her daughter Scarlett back, Janine told Mick they were a couple before her visit from social services.
Reluctantly agreeing to Janine’s plan, Mick said: “I can see how you want your daughter back.”
Janine replied: “I’m trying to be more boring, maybe you can give me some lessons?
“Seriously, I get it if you can’t believe in yourself. But you know that you and I will never be the same, Mick. I mean let’s face it, you I’m almost old enough to be my father.”
But viewers are quick to point out that 38-year-old Janine, played by Charlie Brooks, got it all wrong – as Mick is only five years her senior at 43.
One wrote: “Old enough to be your dad? Um no, he’s not. He’s about the same age.”
Another said: “Janine says Mick is almost old enough to be her dad. Vague thinking, pretty sure they’re the same age.”
And a third added: “A very odd line from Janine about Mick being nearly old enough to be her dad.”
In an episode in November Janine’s age has been revealed to fans – and a lot of them were left open.
After Janine revealed that she’s 38, viewers flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.
“Janine is younger than I thought,” wrote one, as another said: “I actually think Janine is in her 40s.”
A third fan took a closer look at her age and added that the screenwriters may have inadvertently aged the character by a year.
“So they aged Janine when she came back,” they wrote. “She started high school with Sonia, Martin and Clare in 1996, so it should be 36-37 now, not 38.”
