EastEnders felt heartache for Mitch Baker on Wednesday’s episode when he discovered the truth about Gray Atkins.
The BBC’s latest episode features Whitney Dean telling Mitch the truth about how his daughter Chantelle died.

Whitney told him, “When you look back, that makes sense. She said she broke her arm from a slip on the stairs, all the bruises on her arm, and unjustified anxiety. do.”
Speaking of the time of Chantelle’s death, Whitney continued: “She would run away that night with Kheerat and the kids. They were meant to meet but she didn’t show up and the next day, she died.. .”
Mitch looked distraught as he admitted: “I knew it. I always knew it. Why didn’t I do something? I could have saved my daughter.”
“Mitch, you can’t blame yourself,” Whitney said.
“Yes, yes, I can. I am her father, her father, I must protect her,” he replied, before adding: “I have to tell Karen, I have to tell Karen now.”
