EastEnders: BBC broadcaster introduces the wrong episode

EastEnders fans were left baffled after the BBC’s continuity broadcaster made a huge mistake while introducing the show today.

In scenes that aired last week, evil serial killer Gray Atkins was caught by police after years on the run, after he killed his late wife Chantelle Atkins as well as Kush Kazemi and Tina Carter, who were close to him. Here the body was found under Arjee Barjee.

After the massive police presence on the Square, everyone now knows what Gray did – and the lives he has destroyed – but it seems the BBC’s constant announcer has no idea.

Previewing the upcoming episode of Holby City, the broadcaster then turned his attention to EastEnders, adding: “But now on BBC One, his lies are being unraveled – but how much longer Gray How long until Walford finds out the truth?”

However, fans of the show were quick to point out Gray was arrested by police on the show last week.

“What she wondered about the fact that he was arrested #EastEnders“, one person wrote, with a second on Twitter: “Oh, did I hear right from the BBC One announcer? “How long until Walford finds out the truth?” #EastEnders. ”

“Did they just misread the episode description? Lol #EastEnders“, noted the fifth, with the sixth entry: “Think your voice is a week behind. Gray has been arrested, love #EastEnders. ”

Actor Toby Alexander-Smith, who plays Gray on the soap, previously spoke about the importance of Square getting justice for Gray’s terrible crimes, as he described the ending as ” satisfy”.

“I think all audiences have clearly wanted justice for Chantelle, Tina and Kush for a long time and it was important for us to show that justice and necessity,” he said.

“There’s no room for him to have an easy exit and it would be wrong if they did. I think, from an audience perspective, it’s a satisfying ending to the plot.”

When asked about his own future now, the actor – who recently became a father – added: “There’s likely to be a number of things going on but for now I’m very happy to be a dad. full-time dad as long as I can.”
