Tuesday’s episode of EastEnders sees serial killer Gray Atkins hiding from Shirley Carter after she finds out that he was the one who murdered Tina Carter.
EastEnders viewers were left on the edge of their seats Tuesday night as the Gray Atkins situation intensified.
The BBC’s latest season begins with Mick Carter reeling from Whitney Dean’s bombshell about Gray (Toby-Alexander Smith) killing Tina when Shirley barges in and demands to know what’s going on.
Whitney and Mick (Danny Dyer) have no choice but to tell her and she vows to finish Gray off when she bursts out of The Vic.
The plot turns tense when Shirley bangs on Gray’s front door and is clearly ready to do some serious damage to him.
Soap aficionados loved the series and took to Twitter to comment, but some were unhappy about it being 20 minutes long instead of 30 minutes.

One viewer tweeted: “How do we get 20-minute episodes on a week like this #EastEnders.”
A second person posted: “Didn’t the nurse pretend to go to Chelsea and call the LO police on Kheerat and they arrested him could have done with the full 30 minutes ep 20 minutes wasn’t enough #EastEnders.”
A third viewer wrote: “@bbceastenders day one is a fan but these 19 minute episodes you can do better than #eastenders #bbc.”
And the fourth part added: “No, I need another #Eastenders episode like now.”
Another commented: “This week #Eastenders is so intense.”
