This came when EastEnders’ Toby-Alexander Smith, who plays serial killer Grey, told Radio 2’s Zoe Ball that the BBC journey was “emotional”.
Reflecting on her exit, Toby said: “It’s really….we shot some stuff the other day and I actually feel pretty emotional talking out loud about this whole journey with you guys. being Gray because it’s been such a rollercoaster, to see it climax and to see it all come together, that has really affected me more than I thought.”
